Engineering design is a relatively new branch in an exciting and collaborative field that combines elements of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer science.
The courses are extremely practical-focused and include visualisation with computation, product design, modelling, and even art, along with traditional engineering courses like mathematics, thermodynamics and electrical engineering.
As you progress in the course, you can choose specialisations within ED, such as :
- Robotics: You'll work on field robotics, exploring how robots can be used to solve real-world problems.
- Biomedical: You'll collaborate with hospitals and diagnostic manufacturers to design medical devices that improve people's lives.
- Automotive: Students learn end-to-end car design with leading auto manufacturers.
In your 8th semester, you’ll have a mandatory 6-month internship with leading companies in manufacturing, product design, automotive, wearable manufacturers or more.
