Through the various comprehensive programs mentioned below, the department strives to contribute to the advancement of information and technology in the field of Biotechnology:

• BS+MS dual degree (5yrs):
  • Eligibility: Applicants must have met the eligibility criteria for qualifying JEE-Advanced
  • Course Details: The Dual Degree program in biosciences encompasses the study of living organisms and processes at all scales, from individuals all the way to the sub-molecular level. Apart from fundamentals in biology, the curriculum delves into chemical as well as computational biology. Apart from numerous core and laboratory courses, a plethora of electives gives students the flexibility to choose their path. An extensive research project in the last four semesters provides thorough research-based training, something that traditional MSc biology programs lack.
• PhD:
  • Eligibility: Entrance exams in four separate streams covering various aspects of biological sciences. Candidates will be shortlisted for interviews based on a screening test.
